Atlas Machinery was founded in 1991 with the aim of providing the Bookbinding and Finishing Industries with a dedicated used machinery serve of the greatest excellence and to offer a genuine alternative to buying new.
In pursuit of excellence, a team of technical and commercial staff was recruited with expertise gained through many years of handling a comprehensive range of Bindery and Finishing machinery, enabling us to develop the finest tailor-made service that has ever been available to the industry. In latter years we have complimented this by the inclusion of Sheet-Fed Offset presses within our range, making our service more comprehensive than ever.
We have always operated a policy of total commitment to the client's needs and have gained a reputation for honesty, integrity and fair dealing - something difficult to hold on to in today's modern business world.
Our directors and staff are fully aware of the doubts and difficulties that buyers of used equipment may sometimes experience. So, to reassure you, we operate an 'Open door' policy at our modern headquarters in Wakefield, whereby current or prospective buyers may call to see work in progress - a constant stock of machinery such as Muller Martini, Kolbus, Wohlenburg, Sitma, Stahl, Polar, MBO etc., can be inspected in various stages of refurbishment.
Unlike many of our competitors, we test the machines with printed signatures, covers, glue, board, cloth, - whatever is required to put a machine through its paces before it is finally released.
Of course, not all machines require refurbishment - particularly late - model on site machines: here our engineers can assess the condition of the equipment and make recommendations to prospective buyers.
Our range of on-site operations also covers professional dismantling of any machine or line, including electrics: secure, seaworthy packaging is undertaken with all export shipments.
